The brave decision was made to use the city instead of a stadium for the opening ceremony. Literally years have been spent deciding how to showcase Paris

You book some of the biggest names in the sporting & entertainment world

The eyes of the world are on you on your big night.....

Some poor bugger spends half an hour clinging to a metal horse on a barge "galloping" down the river Seine carrying the Olympic flag.....


And the flag team put the symbol of the entire event on the bloody flagpole upside down with tens of millions of people watching........
