Changed my life, 18 years old and 4 days.......Vauxhall Victor.....column change, bench seat....found it very comfortable.....guess I would then. :mad:
Over time covered the whole of england, scotland and wales and basically chasing railway engines, steam loco sheds etc with the odd 30mins for and with the girlfriend....had our priorities right then.
Touring the North East - Newcastle area August 1967.

A beat up white mini 850. bought for £550 when I was about 19. UFD 15R was the reg plate
It was a right rust bucket - most of the trim fell off on a storm lashed trip to South Wales along the Heads of the Valleys road
My fav was my beloved Mk1 VW Golf BEC 332W bought for £1500 when I was working in Yorkshire. It broke my heart to sell it for 50 quid about 8 years later but it needed a hell of a lot of work and was rusty as anything...

Mine was a bright yellow 1972 Morris Mini purchased from my neighbour for £75.
It ended its life in a farmers field after being rolled twice after being put through a hedge at speed on the Bridgenorth to Wolverhampton road.
Drum brakes and a tuned 1380cc engine were never a good combination
