Advice Needed YouTube Chinese characters

Hi Good morning
YouTube start showing Chinese characters on my lg smart tv
Any advice/ solution
Already tried
Checked YouTube settings
Uninstalled and reinstalled
Power plug out for 5 minutes
Reset hub
Reset tv to factory settings
None of the above were successful

If you'rer logged in to Yourube, then click on your little avatar and go into language and change back to English.

Language is already English I changed it to other language and back to English again switch off the tv but it’s still the same

First thing I’d try is to log into a different Google account.

Have you got some form of firewall/content blocker on your setup that may have been updated recently and is blocking some of your localisation settings.

You're not the only one it seems, it's happened before and the fix then was to launch the app from the LG appstore. Didn't see anyone mention a fix for the current problem but worth keeping an eye on:

First thing I’d try is to log into a different Google account.

If it’s really annoying you could do a factory reset on your TV, bring it back to default settings and set it up again

Already done factory reset and updated tv software
No success so far

I think better to learn Chinese language

Not related directly to the LG TV but certainly worth a read. Probably one of the reasons why I never invested in a smart TV Persistent Malware / Virus Infected TV. Targeted Youtube App First. Web Server of Samsung Smart Hub Infected?

Today done web chat with lg
They said it’s app based problem
They couldn’t figure it out

I checked On Samsung tv , pc , laptop and phone app is working fine

Chinese characters disappeared automatically
Looks like lg or YouTube fixed it.

I don’t know if it applies to all Smart tv’s,but sometimes just clearing the app data and cache for the particular app,listed under the apps sub menu),can fix the problem.
