Various satellites John, its main use will be blind scanning for me, blind scan is quick and that's what I wanted, picture quality is good, I need to do more tests,

Yes will do skomedal its one test that's important to me

I don't find the blind scan very good, but for watching football it is excellent. Picture quality is very good.

When I scan 28.2 east I only picked up half of the free view channels. That can only be down to the blind scan or the USAL being no good. On the same dish a 1 mt Gibby I can receive 57 east to 45 west so I can only assume its the blind scan

Thanks for the information, what software do you have installed and what lnb setting are you using please, appears to be working fine here, but I haven't scanned 28E yet

Running fine with me also. What SW version are you using Blade?

Probably using wrong lnb setting ?, I couldn't find my usb stick so just what it came with V2.24.100.404

Hi skomedal,

Testing on a weak transponder at 4W two separate feeds from the same LNB, the cheap unit is slightly more sensitive than the TBS 5925, the TBS card was losing signal completely at times the cheap unit was keeping a broken picture.

No you cant set scan ranges, I wouldn't bother with full scan, use blind scan, you can edit transponder's for a manual scan

I've ordered a V8S non-combo box because it has sat RF loop-through and I don't need terrestrial/cable - think I missed the delivery today because we were out shopping, so off to the PO Sorting Office tomorrow morning.

Trip to the PO turned out to be for something else, and so still waiting for the V8S - even though it was picked up from the supplier early on Wed morning for RM "48hr delivery" (which means that it would have normally been here by 07.30 this morning)!

Having a "conversation" (shall we call it that out of "politeness?) with the supplier ("cartzilla" on ebay UK) who is now promising that I will get it on Monday - but I have already told them that I am having "difficulty believing them" because of the 4 missed (2x RM postal, & 2x RM packet/parcel) delivery slots since early yesterday morning!

Final test, auto roll, it works well out of the box, mentioned before google for this if interested, great little box worth every penny, will be ordering three more
