That looks to be a bargain to me, £27 buy it now and it includes a galvanised non penetrating mount. For anyone local or able to collect who is in need of a decent bit of kit its great value. Someone should offer him £30, give the extra £3 for a nice bag of carrots for the little white rabbit in the background.
 
Indeed - nice stand. Only 20 mins drive for me - don't think I need yet another stand though! Or a CM 1.2m for that matter. I can collect for anyone who needs it, though..

Cheap option to get into C Band possibly?

I think "aceb" and "s-band" both did temporary installations of a Fortec 2.4m and got reasonable results for C Band?

Yes, I think it was 3dB higher on average, which is astonishing considering the cost.
 
That temporary installation is still at the top of the garden parked on 43W, Mrs AceB has stopped complaining about the growing dish farm so I didn't see much point taking it down :D If anyone fancies dabbling in C-Band the 2.4FS is definitely up to the job. The results I have from it even made me go back and recheck I had everything set correctly on the Precision but there's nothing amiss with that. Comparative signal checks with other C-Band reports on the forum have also always shown the Precision to be performing as expected. It's just a shame there's no readily available polar mount for the FS so I'm on the lookout for a better quality 2.4M at a price I can afford or something else that has a PM that I can adapt to fit the FS.

He bought that Precision 1.8m from me and gave it a good home ....:)

Although these Fortec Star dishes are poor quality build and not very good for Ku Band, they do seem to be quite good for C Band at low cost for a good sized antenna.
