I'd like to install a satellite system either in Madeira island or Porto Santo island near Portugal.
with the aim of receiving the signals of as much satellites as possible.

So i assume that i need as much lnb's as possible,
& international multifeed oriented (pointed heads or thinner) lnb's ?

1) I had heard about wavefrontier dish for a multifeed system.

2) Then i heard about the corrosion oft hat dish & its bolts, so i decided to look at:
egesat.de/visiosat-big-bisat-multibeam-antenne-in-rot-fuer-bis-8-sat.html

3) Then, i've seen the advice of a tech. somewhere online for someone living in Madeira island
to use a bigger dish of 1.80 to 2m to get as much satellite signals as possible.

4) So i found those two dishes:
gibertini.it/index.php/en/antennas-uk/op-150-s
The gibertini can only receive up to 4 lnb holders from what i see in the options section of that page.
&
2galli.fr/parabole-ac138w-acier-inverto-black-ultra-pour-nilesat-label-ws,fr,4,AC138W_IBU.cfm
This other one is strange, it seems to be made for only one lnb, so even if i have a good reception,
i have no interest in it if i can't receive the signals of multiple satellites..

5) In another site, ppl brag about the quality of inverto black ultra for poor signals
which isn't a multifeed oriented lnb, but reaches a 70db gain. & in another site,
a tech doesn't advise the use of that specific lnb in areas like Portugal..
A multifeed oriented lnb was too expensive for customers & production
stopped:
hama.com/00047975/hama-universal-single-lnb-lypsi-3d#
This lnb could reach a 65db gain.
& after what i've read about the black ultra "inverto", also, knowing it's not
purposely conceived for multifeed systems, i have the doubt that this one
from inverto would help with a gain of 60db:
inverto.tv/products/product.php?section=1&id=59
& i've also found this without company or gain infos:
hepsiburada.com/hdbox-slim-single-lnb-high-gain-serisi-p-EVHPSD313776
& this one with a 60db gain:
megasat.tv/produkte/megasat-multifeed-single-lnb/

Finally, i have my sat receiver, but i really don't know what lnb & dish would
help me obtain as much satellite signals as possible, not even mentioning
some companies who brag about the fact their lnb's are usable in specific locations
& even better, can get specific satellite signals only ..

Bigger the dish more you will receive, motorised is the way to go, what sort of budget do you have in mind ?

Wavefrontier is a good dish but only really for stronger satellites. It's maximum efficiency is around 90cm dish at the centre and much less around the edges.

There have been some serious modifications that allow you to receive much beyond what the dish is capable of - some receiving over 60 degrees of arc! The dish is galvanised (or so they say) so it won't corrode the very next day.

It really depends what you want to receive and your budget. Like BM says, a large motorised dish will get you the most content but you have to wait when switching between satellites unlike multi feed, which is instant.

Or have both!

The first thing to decide is what are your "must have" signals then take it from there. Remembering there are various directional beams on many satellites these days so some transmissions will be unavailable.

Do you want multiple satellites at the same time OR the most satellites available one at a time? Two completely different scenarios. If you only have one single tuner receiver then motorised large dish is the way to go.

I don't care about the budget, i just don't want a monster on my roof, but i don't want a motorised dish either, it's like having a cable subscription for the simple reason,
it's continuous electricity pumping..

Bigger the dish more you will receive, motorised is the way to go, what sort of budget do you have in mind ?

80cm Motorised.
Several small Dishes.
Much else.

The amount of energy consumed by a motorised dish is almost insignificant.

Captain Jack, you're ignoring BM's confirmation "i need a bigger dish", again, i've heard that in my location signal reception is poor for some satellites in other forums.
So i guess wavefrontier is not for me.. maybe above 1.4 or 1.5m, i don't know how large it should be. What i want to get from multifeed system ? again:
As much satellites as possible (major ones).

So true, if it's to switch positions (don't wanna be arsed doing it when i need other satellite channels).
But i don't think it's true for satellite dishes that constantly rotate..

The amount of energy consumed by a motorised dish is almost insignificant.

The question is, in a multifeed system, & in my location, what are the satellites i can have, before i can make a choice...... . Anyone has that info ?

I need multiple satellites at the same time. I'd be using the OCTAGON SF2028 receiver. So you're trying to tell me that because i have one tuner port in a satellite receive,
i can't plug all lnb's into it using a box that lets me plug like 8 lnb's & outputs them all into one cable ?

Lnb's to disecq switch. Disecq to receiver. You can have virtually as many lnb's as you desire if the reciver supports the switching protocol.

And you still need to decide which signals are must have - theres no point taking the project any further if you havent decided that. For instance if the UK spotbeams at 28E are the most important we will tell you to forget it!

Lyngsat, Flysat & Satbeams will tell you whats receivable in Madeira.

Analogue, i don't know if it supports "switching protocol".. Can you tell ?
You're probably refering to this:
"Multi-LNB support DiSEqC control version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and USALS"
I just don't have "1.3".

But i have 2x DVB-S/S2, in it, but i don't know how useful having two tuners
could be if switching is available & i have support for 4 channels simultaneously
received through live pip.

I don't know how to use the sites you gave me Analogue, like previously mentioned..
i found those infos selected in the center after searching for "madeira" (location)

If it only has one tuner then you can only receive from one satellite at a time. As posted above you can connect multiple lnbs to a tuner but it can only use one at a time. The only advantage of multiple lnbs is faster switching between satellites. A motorised dish has the advantage that it can be aligned on any satellite in view of the dish - reception from it would still depend on dish size and signal strength in your loaction

Reception of the UK spotbeams from 28.2 East (the UK FTA channels) would need a dish of at least 4m if not larger which would cost well above 4 figures.
