What is the DAB+ radio model that you used and what type of antenna please?
I don't suppose I will have a chance here in Israel, but I can certainly try.
I have a Sangean DAB+ radio with telescoping antenna.

Few years back, on a hot day, I managed to receive few DVB-T2 channels from Cypress but only for few hours.

Yes, It was short DVB-T2 test in Ankara 2013. Don't know if there was such test in Istanbul.
Good tropo conditions normally are in the sommer.
For orientation whether you will be successful:
-Check if receive good some Istanbul FM frequencies - 105.00 MHz( MORAL FM), 105.20MHz(TRT World)
-If you have an analogue TV tuner, check if you accept channel 10 - TRT1 in color(not black/white picture), or 35ch(NTV-Spor), 44ch(FOX)... like:

I remember going to Golden Sands in Bulgaria about 12 years ago -

I could pick up Radyo 5 on 94.7 FM (now Kral Pop I think?) and TRT-FM on 96.0 and 95.0, all with RDS most of the time.

But it does not always happen! Good signal now according to the above links, but no signal and analog turkey TV channels, bad FM reseption, no DAB+. It was not a good prognosis acc.to these sites for 28-29 April, but turkey TV, FM and DAB+ was received with strong signal.
The best recipe is - At least 2-3 days of sunny, quiet weather. Then Russian DVB-T2 multiplexies from Evpatoria, Simferopol, Sevastopol... are accepted here and Klitschko-Joshua box was : .

Excuse me for my mistake - the exact model is NE-6208

Last week's reception was at 05.05. at around 21:00 local time.

From 06.05. cloudy, rainy weather and no signal.
