Finally managed to capture the loud song from our resident goldfinch, a lot of noise from a small package, my neigbour could not believe a bird so small could make this much noise

I was rafting and fishing (also drinking) last weekend around here. Had lots of fun.

It will be rather obvious that Bird identification is not my strong suit.I know my local birds and their young.I have been wondering about these for a bit.At first I thought that they were sparrows but the beak looks wrong.Dunnock perhaps.?Cropped off ipcam.

Hmm.

Could do with a couple more poses, but might I suggest it's a Black Flower Wasp?

I'd prefer to see clear segmentation between the head section and the torso, but unfortunately the perspective above probably foreshortens the view and it appears to be a single large body (I suspect it's not, in reality).

I was driving car when this one was trying to cross the street. Actually it crawled quite fast. So, I stopped for photo-session. The body of it was about 5cm long. Is it mole-cricket?
