Virtual Radar Server - Trouble shooting!

I had that once. Zoom the map out a fair way - my jaggies were there but in the wrong place.

Are you running vrs under windows or linux?
Win 7. A new install since my last VRS running. WebAdmin too.

Nowhere to be seen even taking the map out to the wild blue yonder.

I can’t see the drop pin, so I suspect it still needs the location set.
It's dead on my location when I go to the map. my map postings earlier weren't showing it, but my location was correct. This map shows it, but alas still without the spikes.
Doesn't really matter that I can't do the spikes, it's just frustrating when you both and @jeallen01 have no problem with it. C'est la vie.

If you click on tools - options - general what do you get in the big white panel?

I get this (lat & long obscured for privacy)

Code:

Sorry, your code isn't parsing for me.

Here's my General info, can't see much there to help me.

I don't have anything at all in that Exported Settings box. Where do you get them from, and more to the point, how do adding them there manifest how the map colour/altitude spikes appear? Sorry, my brain's slower than usual tonight.

I had to dick around with that to get it working. Copy & paste my settings in & put your own lat/long in.

You said you couldnt parse the code so heres a text doc.

If this doesnt work I will have a look on the 360radar fb page for instructions in the morning

Success :)

Don't know if it was adding the code, or my forgetting to click on Receiver Range in the map menu (what made me forget to do that  )

Anyway, after all this time faffing around, thanks to you and the lads for the help.

Yes, that looks the biz. I'll check them out.

Onvce you are contributing there is free access to all the data so you can track flights aggregated from all the contributors - and much of western Europe. For anyone interested in military traffic is a fab resource as they dont filter the data to remove the interesting stuff..

Progressing nicely now.One thing that I have noticed there are fewer aircraft showing on the map than being scanned. On this screen grab eight craft are shown on the map fouteen are being scanned.
Apologises if this has been covered this is a long thread ,I have not got all way through it yet.

Possibly gone off the map (out of your max range) whilst still retaining the flight info?

Flybe's & some of the other city hoppers dont send full positional data - they appear on the aircraft list but without a distance:

You can suppress the extra ones if you wish by clicking list only visible top right of the aircraft

I will try that.
I have noticed that there are always more being tracked that shown on the map.
Something else learned.:)
If I keep this up I will know what all the buttons do soon.:D
