I'm now having a major revamp of the dishes (already got the TD88 on old motor nearly set up, about 4ft from the TD110), but the issue in question relates to the fixed dishes, i.e. all of my existing spare LNBs are Technomate but they are quite large/wide and so I can't put any 2 very near together, and so I need some narrow ones in order to get closely-adjacent sats.

Therefore some suggestions - nothing esoteric! - for those would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I got some nice no name thin ones from amazon a couple of years ago for a couple of quid each. They are ok but performance in heavy rain isnt brilliant. Before I moved house I would sometimes nip outside & give them a squirt of WD40 if I wanted to use that lnb :D

WHEREVER did you squirt the WD40 to get a better signal?:-rofl2
Seriously though, "no-name" is a bit confusing - wasn't there some sort of label on them?

On the rain protector of course :D Amazon orders says they were SAB Slim Single 0.1dB. Sady no longer available via Amazon as with some careful positioning they would just about give 2 degree separation on a decent sized dish. I ran one for months when 48E was on air zip tied to my 46E lnb on the old dish farm.

Inverto make them, very similar to the SAB in the picture.

Something similar on ebay - but the LNB body seems to be at 90 deg to the one in your pic? Cheap enough though, so ordered one to see how they might work!
PS: FWIW, £6.99 inc P&P

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

If you fit a 1.5m offset in place of the Triax you will not require narrow head feeds.

:-rofl2 No room for one of those - as you well know from dropping in here a few days ago! - and, anyway, far too heavy for me to handle:-doh

@jeallen01 I got some Inverto Slims (First generation ones) how many do you need mate?
Thanks but now awaiting delivery of the one I ordered (see above) to see how well that works.

Don't think I'll actually need very many as yesterday's revamp means that I have "covered" most of the sats I want with the fixed dishes (mainly by spreading the "wide" LNBs across several dishes), and the remaining issue seems to actually be the widths of the LNB holders themselves as they will touch each other before the LNBs do. Pity there are few "narrow" holders for the 23mm throat LNBs, and so you have to use the 23->40mm adapters, which rather defeats the advantages of the narrow LNBs .

Also, now running out of i/ps on the 10-1 switch, and would need to add another one to accept any more (I don't want to serial connect switches as the cheap TM RXs, and many others, don't support DiSEqC command repetition.).

The Inverto Slims came (Well they sold the kit) with a matching rail and the LNBs themselves came with a black painted Allen key bolt that screwed into said rail and into a captive nut that sits moulded into the back of the LNB thus there was no excess width added to the actual body of the LNB'S. The rail itself was I thought quite short and was only going to do a 60 to 80cm dish.

Sounds interesting, and I may take you up on the offer, but would probably need another 10-1 switch, but that would lead to more complications at the house end for switching between the receivers upstairs and downstairs.

Ah yes, the "DiSEqC protocol" (Sounds like a film eh? lol) I was going to buy a Amiko 8 way switch back in the day but I heard that even a simple 8 way switch can run into trouble with certain receivers, which when you add in sods law would mean any box that I owned at the time! Lmfao....... definitely mate, that would happen to me.

If the 10/1 switch is operated at pure diseqc 1.1, adding (up to 10) diseqc 1.0 switches doesn't require diseqc repeat. So I don't see a problem from the diseqc repeat angle?

Not just that, but trying to set up Smart Priority Switches (they do work) to allow both sets of receivers to access all the LNBs without too much signal loss
PS: current Optimcum 10 in/ 1 out switch is fine and I have no trouble controlling in with a basic TM 5402 M3 to use all 10 inputs under DiSEqC 1.1 - only wish I could get it to pass on DiSEqc signals to other switches, but that requires either some rare programming kit or a friend like RIMANTSS has who can do it for him f.o.c
