FTP install:
hi-dvb.ko + vtunerc.ko --> /lib/modules/4.4.35/extra

Telnet & Putty:
a) killall -9 libreader
b) libreader --> /usr/bin (ftp)
c) Box neustarten (restart Box)

Bought this box, still exploring.
Noticed that in LCD display only show the clock when the box in on. Don't appear the channel number or even the name.
Is it like this, or anything wrong here?

image is open ATV 6.2 that came with the box.
That plugin is on plugins list that comes with the image?

Just playing with one of the 8008 receivers with last weeks firmware update.

Is there a macro setting on the remote control where I might be able to see the channel / service parameters without going through the whole button pressing of 'menu', 'information', 'service', 'blue for tuner status' ?

If there isn't such a feature, then perhaps in the next upgrade or three, a second press of the 'i' button brings the channel data up.

Also if the information that is displayed could continue through the change of channel, rather than having to exit menus first.
 
I had tried that and yes, partly. For example using the 'long press' hotkey for 'i'

I can go to serviceinfo, but not straight to the tuner status (I still have to access with a press of the blue button).

Nothing retains the serviceinfo display on screen if I wish to move to another channel, and so I have to cancel and start again after channel up/down.

I agree E2 needs tidying up, far too much button pressing to obtain the most basic of information. The metrix skin for example really needs the transponder downlink freq in the info bar and in the channel selection page, other skins have it...
 
It was the image from last week. (11/04)

Service info (transponder / channel detail) to be available onscreen with just a single button press. The press of the OK button gives just a limited amount of detail on frequency / s/r, plus a lot of graphics on TV standard and encryption which in my opinion, is not really necessary in most instances.

If this could remain on screen while channel hopping (sic) then much better.

How can I activate MPEG-DASH and configure Inputstream Adaptive on Youtube Kodi?
How can i change the DNS on Kodi under OpenAtv 6.2?
 
Forget it, i give up...
Nothing works well on kodi...
Subtitles in English only, I download it in my language and do not appear in the movie...
Audio in Dolby Digital and DTS, neither by hdmi nor by spdif output...
Youtube only 360p...
I had hoped to pull over my htpc, but not, install libreleec and configure the kodi in five minutes...
 
Under service scan the 'scan tuner' list includes five or six pages of satellite locations, and near the end is AM33 (96.5E) that defaults to yes in the scan request.

Additionally the tuner B search (on the combo) is similarly active by default and needs turning off each time a new search is made for channels.

Is Octagon implementing fixes in the next releases, based on issues mentioned on this thread ?
 
Hi guys, I’m looking at buying the SF8008 for use on my new motorised setup. I have a question though:

Will the default firmware allow me to
- Blindscan
- Input BISS keys (Oscam?)
- Stream over the network over OpenWebif (4:2:2 feeds)

If it does not support these in the firmware out of the box, is there an image that will do the above?

Anyone know why on Hispasat 30W with a 95% SQ 11496H Multstream the picture wants to break up.?? Everything else OK. Does this need one of their many software updates???!!!
On the Octagon SX88+ there is no problem on a smaller dish. Strange.
