I suspect Rieu is misleading in order to maximise distribution profits around the world.
 
My dad went to the local cinema and due to a technical issue "something to do with the projector" it started at 7.45pm not 7pm.

You could sit your dad down and ask him to look back through the two you tube links above, see if he recognises the footage.
 
I was in Maastricht for the concerts, they record on the 5th, 6th & 7th of July and the broadcast is a mix of all 3 nights with dialogue from the dress rehearsal
