The BBC look like they are getting ready for the election. They have extended their permanent lease on the 16.0E right up to 12.750GhzV. In stead of symbol rates of 2400, 4800 and 7200. They are now using 2000, 4000, 6000 and 8000kSps. SKY may well be getting ready too. They regularly use 3750kSps now instead of 5000kSps

Regretably the BBC have started using 4:2:2 video for some of their news feeds. We really do need a 4:2:2 receiver at home. Using my SX88+ I can record feeds and view them on the PC with VLC player later.

I think it was UKI-999 I saw using 4:2:2 as well as the unit at Storemont. I'll take a look today and see what appears.

Carol Kirkwood was on a Beeb feed this morning from Covent Garden and that was 4.2.0..Usually the Irish feeds in 4.2.2.
