I am going to replace 1.2 CM(jaeger motor) with 1.5 giilbertini will I be able to fabricate a plate for the 1.5 and just swap dish? or will the wind defeat the plan?

If it is a Jaeger 1224 motor it will be OK for a 1.5m dish. I have had a Precision 1.5m spun aluminium dish on a Jaeger 1224 motor for many years and it works perfectly with no damage to the motor.
