I'm getting that one (11480H) with an absolutely stonking 21dB of signal! I think that's the highest signal of any transponder I receive here across any satellite.

I don't remember it being that high before, and as 11471H is a new one which would also be part of the same transponder (just split up) then I'm guessing it's moved. It seems like they're using 11471H as a narrower version of 12690V so that it can use 5WB's limited transponder space (sharing with the other narrow radio transponders) and not an entire transponder on its own.

As you say, must be the European-wide beam.

11480H is still on 5WA!

The thing is that 11480 was never that powerful before, I used to get it with about 16db. Now, if it's still on the European or Super beam of 5A and has not moved, the only thing that could explain such power is that maybe now that the load of 5A is lighter, these TPs are now booming! But if it's on 5B, then it's the one TP with a peak of 5B's power.
Bottomline is that so far 5B does not behave in Central Northern Greece like a satellite whose footprint stops at 48dbW. And that's good news for us...

The signals are even better today, especially during daytime, standing at exactly as strong now as they were on 5A!
During nightime they lose about 1db!
11480H is extremely powerful at 20.2db. That's hardly indicative of the printed footprint for my location (I should be about 80km away from the 48dbW), the beam is definitely shifted a bit towards the east!

Is funny, because on my location it improves at night by 1 dB . So we get an idea of the beam wobbling!
Slowly, I've been able to make some locks in some transponders, I had to fine tune the skew. And it is noticeable the improvement at night at my location.

I second that.
11480H has either not moved or is using european beam. My receiver indicates 17 dB SNR, more or less the same as it was before.
I'm actually hoping it hasn't moved yet and this signal gets lower...

I really doubt that this transponder was that strong before tuesday morning.

The signal has increased a bit now

Hi
I picked up my old SAT spectrum analyzer and looked at it... some strange findings

a) I don't see 11480H with such a high peak power as I was expecting. Of course, with a narrow bandwidth it may not need it. But, just FYI, its peak power is about 3 to 4 dB higher than 11509H at my location

b) I see a strong carrier at 11590H. It is modulated, my receiver locks it with SR=30000 but I can't find any content. Anybody knows what this is? This strong carrier is messing my reception...

1.Very strong signal in my area on 11480 H,3215,3/4,8PSK, over 21dB.
2.Indeed 11590 H is for Data, but in fact it is a stream with media content.

Yes. That’s me!

Hi guys! Some news from Oslo in Norway. I get all the transponders from E5WB after changing to a 120x115 dish. Margin is not huge but at least I get them. I can give details and pictures if of interest, just ask! :-)

!2627 H,35000,2/3,8PSK-same package on both MIS 1 and 2(encrypted)
Checked also with DM920 UHD.
I think these MISs are being tested(!?)

RAI already announced, that they would consider an encryption of their MIS-packages. Now we know, that other providers consider it too. <_<
