Does anyone have any old blue yellow house sky cards?
If someone can provide a good reason as to why these are suddenly in demand I'll post a link to one that's for sale...
Haha good point!....... depending upon the reason, you could buy it yourself!
Nick a 320GB IDE drive from an old PC - you must be able to get hold of those from "somewhere"!Suspected drive failure as the box half boots every 5 minutes then goes off again - the hdd was noisy and now isnt making any noise at all....
Plenty of old drives from scrapped Friends & family pc's in storage in boxes in the garage. Lets see if the damn thing is any easier to take apart than the one I did 6 months ago to change the drive!Nick a 320GB IDE drive from an old PC - you must be able to get hold of those from "somewhere"!
The DRX890 is particularly 'interesting' as a lesson on hard drive removal/replacement.Plenty of old drives from scrapped Friends & family pc's in storage in boxes in the garage. Lets see if the damn thing is any easier to take apart than the one I did 6 months ago to change the drive!
Absolutely - A Rubic's cube/Hampton Court maze "challenge" - "been there, done that" as well (several times!)The DRX890 is particularly 'interesting' as a lesson on hard drive removal/replacement.
"Easy, quick" swap then - so try another one.Swapped the drive for one out of the junk box. Its booting now, but is operating in diskless mode so that drive might be toast. I have a suspicion it may have been a faulty one taken out of one of the NAS boxes. I'll have another look at it tomorrow & see if I can fix it any better. Or I may have forgotten to reconnect one of the cables
are they from a sky+ boxyes.
sadGot two here, but think they came out of single tuner boxes.
