Lollll
U could charge for visits, like a museum.

Why don't u charge fellow local sat enthusiasts decent prices and get some of that stuff offloaded.

Aye, good idea, have a tour of the museum followed by a garage sale, bring yer own van.
How does £10 sound for the price of an admission ticket, I can throw in a cuppa along with a pickled onion toastie.

I need to type up an inventory with prices, perhaps have a heavily discounted section of the complete and utter junk for the two bob merchants?

Thanks for the messages folks!

I think with the price of diesel currently I would be better off trying to source one locally.

Can’t imagine it’ll be cheap posting one!

A white Gibertini would be ideal but if I get desperate and I am up north, I will drop one of you a message!

More like a creamy colour! - until you "disguise" it (mine's a mixture of a "vegetation green" and red primer!)!

Yeah mine is cream but seems to blend in nicely with the conservatory!

The TD110 has dimensions the neighbours would object to.
Did the TD110 have two different variants?

I have seen people say they're actually a 1m dish? 105cm?

Found one advertised online which isn't too far from me and it measures 110cm.

Yes, at least two variants. The original was quite a lot larger all round.

Can I find the weight and dimensions for them anywhere?

I take it the original is far better then?

Various older posts on the forum will provide the answers.

My spokesperson's earlier remark notwithstanding, my TD 110 is 116cm x 106cm. Haven't weighed it.

Lovely, a fair bit bigger than my 91cm x 85cm then.

Web searches only seem to find 100x105cm. Those dishes are 11kg by the looks.

I measured it from rim to rim, just now, so it's accurate enough. With Web results, one cannot know with certainty exactly what it is they've measured!

Yeah it seems like Triax reduced them in size. Looks like this chap has the same dish as yours.

I don't think I would particularly gain much going from mine to the smaller TD110.

0.9db at 12.75Ghz......

As everyone who has one knows , the main issue with the original TD110 design (mine was S/H and is now probably 8-10 yrs old) was/is that it's very difficult to set up the correct combo of elevation & declination on your own because the design of the declination-angle adjustment "sliding clamp" is "rough & ready" to say the least.

We've pretty much all found that you need (at least!) 3 arms to hold everything in the correct place as the bolts are tightened, or else that angle finishes up "slightly wrong". Not quite so difficult for a ground-mounted dish and with 2 people, but I'd really hate even considering trying to do that job up a ladder on my own :(. (That's probably why the previous owner of mine had given up trying to use it on a motor at the height of his bedroom windows and settled for using it as a fixed dish.)

AFAIK from the images I've seen, the latest ones (from about 2-3 yrs ago) use a more conventional declination angle adjustment system and that may well be a lot better - "you pays your money and you takes your choice" (sort of!)

I must say it’s putting me off going for the TD110 as it is one of the originals and I hate my little camping Triax TD64.

Looking at the newer TD110’s, they’re actually 1m dishes and both the Gibertini 1m and Orbital 1m out perform it judging by the gain on all 3. Gain wise I don’t think it would be that much better than my 85cm Gibby.

Think I am just better off holding out for hopefully a Gibby, as I really like the build quality on my 85cm or source an Orbital again.

I didn’t realise the Orbital was a) rare as hens teeth b) actually performed well compared to other 1m dishes as I wouldn’t have given it away. Just thought it was cheap and cheerful.

There were two Orbital 80 designs, steel or aluminium reflector, the 1m was aluminium only.

Yes, now rare, hence why I stored one away for armageddon.

You might find a Fracarro (Penta) dish works for you. I have a used one of those waiting an install that needs something for the specification.

Again, rare in the larger sizes
