Eutelsat Hot Bird 13G

It is high time for more investors to leave Eutelsat. In today's dynamic time, it is not profitable to invest in them to footprint that are characteristic of the middle of 2003-2005. In the Middle East, the signal had to be received with a 70-80 cm antenna. and in Europe with 40-45 cm
So you think investors that are making good returns from Eutelsat should sell their holdings because some areas have a slight decrease in signal? Not going to happen today, tomorrow or ever. Parts of the Middle East & certainly into Pakistan & India have always been a bit marginal for 13E but are adequately covered by other satellites.

very true and thanks to Eutelsat for this generous coverage , I dont know why people are complaining because we are at fringe reception area and signals improved significantly

Extreme fringe always have winners & losers on every new satellite introduction. When the old birds at 28E were pensioned off there were howls of outrage from numerous expats in Spain as they lost their UK BBC & ITV signals.

Yes, after a long time India was looking new Hotbird 13e which is still far away but in indian region there was a great chance to invest in satellite area.

are these TPs migrated to 13G

Audiovision, what is that ?
I am watching Arte here on Hotbird. English documentary about the empire of Mongols.
"Audio 1: Francais/ Audio 2: Allemand /Audio 4: Audiovision"

On my old receiver there are 4 options : French, German, qad and qaa.
Qaa plays the original language when it is available. Not available on this Mongol-film.
I do not know what qad is.

Keep patience !!! What is trasferring in these days will not be at the same levels forever. Eutelsat will be checking for the EIRP and signal levels for many days till reaching a stable power. Don't be in a hurry if the levels are lower or the same power at the moment, there are many operations that Eutelsat has to do to keep signals at the best EIRP. Anyway who lives in the border of the footprints keep in mind that is always risky to have a good signal without using a bigger dish ! Hotbird is designed to cover most parts of Europe, not Asia or Africa or America. I cannot pretend to have good signals from Amazonas satellites from America or Asiasat ones, unless I own a 4.5m dish or bigger.

Thanks. There is also some other thing mentioned sometimes when there are concerts or such: Musicvision. No that' s not the word I think but sth like that.
I wonder if my receiver acknowledges all the new fancy audio available..

Any reports from Spain and North Africa, please.

From Canary Islands with a blind search I do not capture the new tp's. I don't get more than half the channels than before. :( I will wait a bit to see if it is solved

that is, because I live in the Canary Islands, now in 2023 I need a giant satellite dish and I have to say goodbye to a large number of hotbird channels and also to my 1.10m satellite dish. Eutelsat, very bad. I am very angry

I am most grateful for your kind response
