Eutelsat Hot Bird 13G

12596 V is far weaker in Burgas, Bulgaria than it ever was before. Currently 10.5dB while before I had 13.1-5.
NASA TV TP 11373 is 14.3dB however.

NASA TV back on at 11373 H now! Very strong transponder!
I have no problems receiving the NASA TV channel
the 11373 are in HD
while 10727 is broadcast in 4K
with 2 different programming

Might be worth tweaking th eskew on your lnb - its possible its more critical on 13G than the older birds, and even a few degrees out can make a big difference.

For everybody relying on Flysat for their information - treat information about transponder migrations with caution. Flysat is a fantastic site & Im not crititising it BUT it relys on volunteer reports for its data. Time & time again there has been whats effectively a race to report a transponder changing satellite - and far too often someone has seen a minor power fluctuation on their receiver & reported it as a change. A few reports on here has proved quite conclusively that nothing has changed, BUT because someone wanted to be the first to report they jumped the gun.

Imagine how easy things would be if in this case Eutelsat supplied information about coverage of the new satellites and maybe even which package is on which satellite. Same goes for Astra and others. Why always so much secressy around this?

Best guess - simply because apart from a few thousand satellite enthusiasts no one is in the slightest bit interested. Plus of course its possible there are commercial considerations. Arabsat flat out lied about the MBC channels coverage on Badr 4 for years - they invented a completely fictitious "MBC beam" for 11919 MBC channels which was centred on the MENA region. It was obvious it was ficticious because I could get those channels in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders absolutely no problem at the same signal strengths as the other Badr 4 channels! But it kept the rights holders for content on the MBC services.....

True!

Hopefully Badr 8 is a replacement for Badr-4 :)

I get strong signal now from CGTN HD. Before I had to make SD do.
The Bitrate is ultra strong 18,6 Mbyte. Also from CGTN Documentary. Bitrate: "depth of information" (?)
I thought 7,4 Mbyte was the strongest as seen from Aljazeera and Arte.

Does anyone know why NASA TV HD has a black screen since it moved to 13G ?
I can watch NASA HD here in Iceland (L86,Q70)

NASA UHD is free on Hotbird. I wonder if anyone here on the forum can actually catch and watch it, or other UHD channels, in full quality ?
I think UHD is not an option on my old receiver. And the TV is also an old one (from year 2006), can not get more resolution than 1080i.

Hi, these are my scans today from Rome. I think more or less same values than before ( variations ± 1.0-1.5 dB ), but still work in progress by Eutelsat. Moreover, some of these transponders will move again at the end of July to the new 13F.

Yes, Nasa TV UHD, FTV UHD (Fashion TV) and HotBird4K1.

All these channels (which are open) go with the HEVC codec. With a resolution of 3840x2160p.

Yes sure I can get UHD channels on 13E, 19E, 28E and 1W. That is the those which are FTA. Not very interesting programming though. Mostly promo and NASA transmissions. I'm using VU+ DUO 4K SE and Octagon SF8008 receivers.
