Interesting .... i can only see 1.17.14.1 on the NTT site, can you point me to v1.17.15 please

All menus look very similar to FreeSat suff of the same era.

Morning John, not in España at the mo, few weeks before return so no access to files info. Just to say was definately a link from a russian site after trawling though many others. I do def remember that there was no attached info re: the update difference from the previous '14' version.

Just switched on the receiver and it is in a start loop failure, so I'm also looking for either a downgrade from 1.28 (was supplied with 1.27 RU) or something more recent.


Additionally the power supply that came with it is u/s.

Many thanks, i got this receiver a while back to test but have not had too much time to use it - what i have found to be a pain with it is the fragile Android Tablet RAMF app connection with the receiver , it is very prone to giving an error message 'Unstable Connection' on the RAMF app screen and can be difficult to re-establish the connection from Android Tablet to receiver - usually a re-boot of the receiver helps. Iv'e tried two different low spec Android tablets and they both suffer from the message 'Unstable Connection' problem. Need to know if anybody else has this problem , if not, info on the Tablet in use, spec / make etc would be helpful.

John, same 'Unstable Connection' notice for myself as well!
Managed to secure the site that RAMF '15' was downloaded from as 2 x attached. I was wrong, as you can see, update info was given. Good luck.update_093731.JPGCaptura1_093654.JPG

No problems with 1.28 here..perhaps you broke it taking the lid off!

It was working for about two hours last night before upgrading to 1.28, then another hour or so checking the out of band parameters and then turning off.

If the loop is permanent then there is little chance of a USB downgrade as the welcome logo flashes up for no more than 3 seconds before another reboot. I've made a cursory check of the board and there is no pin/track short to facilitate a manual reset.

Hi dear John how are you hope you are fine and all guys here , to avoid this problem you should connect the STB by mobile hotspot will get good result with the connection

but unless the receiver actually powers beyond the first image then the remote command to take files from the stick won't work. Will try later today.

Instructions (translated), but it looks generic

Restoring a receiver on a Montage processor via a USB flash drive

Format the USB flash drive on your computer to the FAT32 file system.

2. Download the firmware for your receiver model, rename its name to flash.bin and copy it to the root of the USB flash drive.

3. Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port of the turned off receiver.

4. Turn on the receiver by connecting the power supply and immediately cycle through it at intervals of 1 second. start pressing the Menu button on the remote control 5-10 times. When starting the firmware, the receiver may write “USB upgrade! Don’t power off!” or nothing at all can be displayed on the TV screen. If the flashing is successful, the receiver will reboot a few minutes after the start of the recovery and will boot completely. If the receiver does not reboot after 2-3 minutes, then the procedure must be repeated.

5. After loading the receiver, go to Menu – Settings – Reset to factory settings and reset the settings. The default password is 0000.

Tried exactly as per instructions (even found an 8GB USB stick). Gave up after 30 minutes.

Will let the seller know.
