astra 1p 19.2e

A few minutes ago, I did some measurements on Tp 120 and Tp 108 (1N) and observed different angles for both txps. So my conclusion is, that Tp 120 is not on 1N. Since 1P and 1L are very close at the moment, I'm not able to distinguish, whether Tp 120 switched to 1P or remained on 1L. Next chance to measure is around tomorrow morning when 1P and 1L are further apart.

Thx, this confirms correctness of Flysat and incorrectness of Lyngsat, Kingofsat and Satindex.de for this issue.
Tpx120 not move yet

So this might be on the widebeam? Israel seems to be outside of Pan 1 & 2 footprint.
Israel is short on both Pan European Beams, but still can be recieved by large antennas. Outest layers of Pan Euro Beams is 44 dBW.

If 1KR 1L & 1M were on the last dregs of fuel they would be running inclined by now - so there is a reasonable chance they will be deployed elsewhere. One of them may end up at 57E to allow 2A to be retired.
True, when they remove them, they tilt them and stop serving in their position, but they are serving now (out of necessity).
Here we understand the statement to its Movistar+ subscribers by reducing their channels out of necessity: agreement or imperative of SES-Astra?
I removed HD versions and added more HD/SD channels via TP. Battery/solar panel problems?

But the older ones have to be somewhat tight on fuel after 17-18 years, the 1M is a kid by their side.
In 2012 with the Olympics we already saw with the old 28'2ºE satellites they last like Duracel batteries (and they last).
The reserve indicator light has had to be on for years for the 1KR and 1L.

Astra 2A is already 26 years and 4 months old (launch date August 30, 1998).
The application that manages the movements has to cost a fortune to save fuel, batarias is another story.
Look at his history and the truth is, he is a traveling bird: Astra 2A - Wikipedia
After reviewing the "working life" of this satellite, the Astra 1M, 1L and 1KR are kids for almost 50% of their life.:-doh
Sorry for the irony.
------------------

Between 3:15 and 3:25, transponders 6 and 48 were transferred.

Txp-6 11288 V 1L --> 1P

Astra 1P Europe KU Band Widebeam has been renamed to Europe Middle East KU Band Widebeam.

quite low res unfortunately. why is there a section of stronger beam over Portugal? Applies to all three beams, but different shape
There is now a 3D view of all 3 Beams on the SES website. SES - Our coverage
Edit:
There are also some sections of stronger beams over/around Bulgaria and Romania, and also a (very) small dot over central Spain.

do you think it was planned this way or just a quirk of how the beam is formed?

I think the Beams are planned (Widebeam nearly the same as from 1M, Pan Euro Beams are nearly identical from 1L and 1M). There is always a possibility that we get some channels from these countries, maybe the portuguese/romanians switch to Astra. But it's just speculation. For Bulgaria it won't make any sense, they recently changed to 13°E and have their own East Beam for their programs.

might be right about Portugal, they're the only ones on Hispasat and not sure of its future
