1kr very weak signal it have 2 tp service let if more tp move as soonIs there anything receivable on Astra 1 KR spot 1? It shows a very limited beam just over Germany....
I don't think it's been used for a long time. It used to have some Polish channels on that spot beam. The signal levels in Helsinki where pretty decent.Is there anything receivable on Astra 1 KR spot 1? It shows a very limited beam just over Germany....

The spot was centred over Poland, so it was not ideal for German channels. I'm sure someone else remembers better than me, but I think the spot beam was switched off after most of the Polish channels went to Hotbird.Thank you Solly! so,only a few Polish stations? and more Polish on Hotbird anyway...
I'd have thought about local German tv channels...
Good job .. regarding this chart 1p has also high band but so far no tp transferred to 1p hi-band ?But the age of the satellites and what they can emit (band), I think the cards are clear.
Mas la edad de los satélites y que pueden emitir (banda), pienso que las cartas están a la vista.

They wanted to do something similar that the brits have currently, a beam only covering Poland and its countries around them, offering the people of Poland to watch TV without any encryption. Later the goverment discovered that it does not work properly and decided to lock their channels and later leave 1KR and switch to Hotbird. I know that it was recieved in Western Austria with a 80cm and even smaller dishes in Germany. It had so much overspill from the beam that it was possible to receive in Bosnia with a 150cm dish (and possibly smaller).The spot was centred over Poland, so it was not ideal for German channels. Oh yes, thank you. I don't think 1q will be short beam it same model like 1p only add ka band mobil phone serviceOh yes, thank you. I remember that saga now.
With 1Q I suspect they will be able to get tighter beams and of course with frequency reuse that could easily block reception in other areas so it'll be interesting to see if someone else tries it for FTA broadcasts in parts of Europe.
interesting idea, but i suspect it's more likely they'll try to keep the last remaining 28.2 satellite going as long as possible with a bare bones service. After that Starlink / LEO solutions will fill in for the most remote homesI suspect we'll see more spot beams at 19.2E once Astra 1Q is launched. Actually, at the risk of getting too off-topic, I wonder if we'll see a UK spot from 1Q one day to serve the remote areas of the UK after the Astra 2 satellites are gone.
1q plan to be 28.2e ? From astra 1 need more transponder to move from 1m 1N next two yearinteresting idea, but i suspect it's more likely they'll try to keep the last remaining 28.2 satellite going as long as possible with a bare bones service. does TXP-2 not come from the 1KR?At 3:45 UTC, Txp-7 had an outage and at 4:15 UTC, it also occurred on Txp-2.
From the check this morning around 6 UTC, I see both on Astra 1P.
Txp-2 11229 V 1L --> 1P
Txp-7 11303 H 1L --> 1P
