Adding More Lnbs To Setup .....

I like my dish very close to the wall where i have it now. If i had a motor i'd have to stick it out from the wall some way to get anything from thor westwards, but i see your point CH.

I'd go for multi-sat over a motor whenever I had the choice. So much more user friendly.
Totally agree with you, but, I would not limit myself to only multi-sat or motorized. I am looking to have all available sats stationary and, in parallel, maybe even twice- motorized.
That means that system should combine all possible positive factors from stationary antennas and motorized ones.
Quoting myself: Motorized antenna can easily become stationary, much harder to do opposite.
That is, of course, IMHO :-shifty

Well you can easily have multi-sat and motorized on the same dish to get the benefits of both.

Yes, that actually what I meant. My last antenna (which is not delivered yet) 1,9m offset will be on polar-mount and will also have multifeed on it including several Ku band (linear and circular) LNBs, as well as couple of C band LNBs.

I think in time i'll set up my second dish in the garden somewhere.....maybe in the summer, its getting toooo cold these days. I work outside most of the day so when i get home i just want to get warm!

I think there are benefits in both system, mutifeed or motor setup.
But nowdays i prefer the motordish, better performance on weaker sats (if i compare same dishsize)

The multifeed dish like the T-90 is a fun project and its easyer to use ,no waitingtime when changing positions.

If they would produce toroidal antenna equivalent to 120cm (as it was announced more than 10 years ago), that would be much better solution than T90, not even speaking about T55. I also consider my T90 as an object to play with. T90 still can give possibility of simple (usual) watching TV for majority of channels people watching, also good good family. That is why I do not understand you Hacon why you dismounted T90 and throw it away from your setup!
I will try to always keep my T90 up and running, cuz it is my first antenna and it is just great. But, at the same time, now I like to have motorized antennas, I like to tune them and also hunt for weak signals. Cband is another field I would like to explore. And because of having triple sat-tuner + terrestrial, every stationary LNB and some motorized antennas with several LNBs (C and Ku), and terrestrial will be connected to one system. It is actually already now like this, but only not fully operational capable. By prioritizing 3 SAT tuners it is possible to have weak signals from big antennas, and strong signals from stationary, including T90.

Well my inverto narrow lnb arrved today, so Eutelsat W2 16E will be the first object. Cant get a standard lnb between 19E and 13E, it just too tight. Just waiting for the diseqc switch to arrive now

Wow , spent quite a time setting up eutelsat 16E, my dish is centred on 19.2 and i cant believe how low the quality levels are. Only on one transponder can i get anywhere near 60%,most are around 45%. Is it running QRP!!!! Ham term for low power!

The figures are not easy to put into context - more importantly, do you have a good number of locked Channels?

I have around 50 FTA channels all locked yes. 0 BER. Astra 1 booms in 97%

Sounds about right.

Got 78% on the europe B beam. Thats heartening. 54 channels logged

Now the old clapped out birds have been replaced all the 16E channels are an easy catch

According to KoS there are currently 118 fta channels on 16E - I can get all of them easily - although thats with a 1m Orbital dish with 16E on the main focus.

Interesting - could have sworn I too only got around 50 or 60 Channels on my 80cm.

Going to do a Blind Scan on the F3 and see what's to do ......................

41 FTA with the 80cm, and consistently so even after nudging t'Dish a bit each way.

I do recall I had well over the ton with the TD110, but that's not in use at present.

Umm the KoS record must be wrong atm - Just had a quick tot up of the European beam stuff on 16E. Theres about 55 tv channels atm including the DVB-S2 stuff

IIRC, 16E has always been prone to lots of changes, notwithstanding Bird failure etc.

There's a hard core of thirty or so Channels plus an ever changing load of "here today, gone to 9E tomorrow" (or just gone. Period!) stuff.

Anyway, bottom line seems to be that Paul is getting more or less what he should.

There are quite a few fta channels on 16E that have the encryption flag set, so if you do an fta only scan they wont appear.

3 Bosnians on 11262H, Kosovo on 12632V, Folk+ & Kanal 7 on 11283V for starters

Ah, so a load of old Balkans, then ! :-lmao
