All our BBC channels are mixed up since the change (eg. BBC 3 is BBC1 and BBC Alba is BBC News 24!) We still have all the channels (I think) but they're all over the place and the "guide" function on our freesat box doesn't work on those channels. How do I change this? I cannot open the above file... We have tried re-tuning the box but it doesn't fix the problem. Thanks in advance!

PS We use a Fortec Star freesat box

In some cases (especially after the first phase of the changes) I just edited the Channel names.

What problem are you having opening the file? Unzip it, place the resultant .dnl file onto a USB stick, place in your Fortec and go to S/W Transfer in your Fortec's menu. Choose Channel Data Transfer (USB), press OK, change to Transfer Mode Read and update the EU CHDB.dnl file.

Found the solution, I just had to select a different "BBC 3" channel, and a different "BBC Alba" etc. There are always several with the same name, but at the moment not all have the right content. I've now replaced all the wrong channels and all is working, including the tv guide. Excellent. Thanks again everyone.

sorry only just read about the usb stick. didn't have to try that after all but thanks for the info :-)

There should only be one of each for BBC3 & BBC Alba :D

You'll have more than one because you haven't been deleting the old ones after you've done a rescan.

Hi Llew. I've tried using your latest channel list (above). Each time I've tried it, athough all the channels seem to load fine, EVERY channel appears with NO SIGNAL. I've tried several times, booting from the USB as well as doing a S/W transfer from USB. I've had to do a factory reset to get it working again.

Any suggestions where I might be going wrong?

Hi Llew (or anyone who can help),

I also lost my BBC HD channels many months ago and although I have managed to recover ITV and Channel 4 HD and re sorted the channel names and order following your Oct 21st post, I would like BBC back. What should I do please?
regards

Hi again. Did you see my post about issues with channels when loading the file? I'm still having the same problems although your channel lists have worked fine for me in the past. I'd be interested to know if you have any thoughts. Thanks.

Possibly because I have accidently unticked the LNB ON box when recompiling the list. Easy to tick ON in the box's LNB menu - if that's your problem.

Thanks Llew, I've reinstalled the channel list but I now can't find the LNB menu on my Freesat box :/

Forget that! I'm an idiot. Found it. Thanks again Llew!

Thanks Lew - loaded the new channel list AND switched LNB to on - it works! BBC HD back again.
