3 smallish dishes andaccess to 1 very big one.(7w, 13e,19e, 28.2e, 27.5w)
TM 5402hd,dm500s,vu+solo, pc,laptop, tablet, smartphone. Smartmeter S1 (since someone robbed my satcatcher excel tv mk4)) emitor micro HD. very old promax explorer
My Location
Canary Islands
Fuerteventura...3.7 mtr dish (but due to factors beyond my control ie 1 piece dish cut into 2 for shipping so probably only performs about 3 mtr) intermittent lock but no picture as BER excessive. Only got dvb meter (satcatcher) so tested using hirschmann rxr. Spectrum on satcatcher shows signal well below existing 1N signals and suspect need dish capable of giving at least another 3db so therefore looking at potentially 5 metre..........for info 1N channels gives c/n of minimum 10.8db up to about 12.5 db or more (C4 HD/FIVE group which are receivable on 1.35mtr with good lnb and receiver)
Not my dish but was able to tweak a little and no real improvement on 2F freq....hopefully the verticals may be better. In 2Ddays no real problem with Horizontals but verticals were a virtual no go..............For the ex-pats here all I can say is ´better start learning spanish!! (or arabic for 26E or 7W)

I would class that reading as boarderline and certainly NOT stable !
My definition of stable is that there is signal lock and the video and audio play without interference. The level a signal strength bar shows has nothing to do with stability.

Well it seems that people living closer to the centre of spotbeam are reporting even higher signal levels on 2F than on 1N.
With my Big Bisat I have 15,2dB on 1N and 15,7dB on 2F.

Agreed.

Using an old Raven 43cm up North and the difference in strength is clear even using the crude Signal bars on my various Receivers.

Just tried my Skybox F3 on my 80cm Motorised and again the difference between typical 1N S/Q and 11023 is marked.

It seems not a lot (Well, nothing at all, if truth be told!) has changed overnight vis-a-vis transferring any Transponders in anger.

In Gandia, 60Km south of Valencia (Spain) nothing has changed ... still 10db on my DM800, it is interesting after being 12 years on the difficult side of the 2D think that the situation can be now reverse.

Could have been a bit bad if the transfer from 1n to 2f has been last night, when this site had gone down!!! At first when I could not access it I thiough it had crashed with all the cried of "no signals!"

No real change here either on the 80cm.
The currently connected Freesat box is still showing Strength at 100%, quality at 70% for 11024h

looking at your readings my 1.9M dish would probably be on par with 1.35 M in Gandia. I´,m 165 miles south in Mazarron

11023H this morning - 83% strength, 79-83% quality, so slightly better quality than before. Little cloud cover.

Agreed here too - the 11023H signal is markedly stronger than the other low frequency DVB-S2 signals.

do these have any effects??
A geomagnetic storm is brewing around Earth's poles following a CME strike on Nov. 23rd. A second CME is en route, due to arrive on Nov. 24th. NOAA forecasters say there is a 65% chance that the second strike will trigger strong storms at high latitudes
