Out of the 500 or so photos ive taken ,maybe 200 of the Cuillins, this one pleases me the most,lots of sunset shots still to download to the pc and check.....

i,v come to know those mountains so well in the last 3 years --
i,v stood at the top of all 12 - 3000+ ft peaks there now -- some of them 2 or 3 times

Well i've never seen any of the uk shrikes Rolf!!Not great photos, as taken at more than 50m, 100m on a couple of them and in bad light, but of a bird I had not seen before, an immature Red-backed Shrike at Greenham Common.

I envy you totally, my total lack of experience and body size prevent me from tackling the gabbro!
Only passage visitors Paul, that was the first Red-backed and a year or so ago I saw my first Great Grey Shrike.
