Hi Guys

Got another thread on here, all about my T90 wave Sat dish.

I am trying to work out, if anyone in the South Wales area has a dish up, picking up 7W.

My T90 is about 1M+ give or take

What dish pick up 7W in the cardiff/caerphilly/S.Wales areas?

If anyone has a dish, what are you using?

Really want to check if my T90 will be able to pick up 7W, if not would a 1,1.1M do it?

cheers up front

It depends what channels you want to pick up on 7W.
If you are after the Al Jazeera Sport channels, for the football, you might need a 1.5-1.8 Metre dish, especially in poor weather.

cheers,

was hoping for anything really and sports would be a big bonus and english speaking stuff.

would 1M even pick anything up?

You'll definitely pick up some channels from Eutelsat. There's a few channels showing English movies and prgrammes that you pick up. I struggle to get AJ sports on a 1m. Just bought a 1.2m gregorian dish to get the channels 24/7.

My understanding is that at dead centre and for some distance either side of dead centre it's the equivalent of a 90cm, and that towards the ends of the bars it's more like 60cm.

so my t90 wont have much chance, but if I invest in a 2nd hand 1.2M.

I should get better results

You'll definitely get more channels with a 1.2... I've got 1.2 gregorian dish which means it's equivalent to a 1.4m dish.

Here's a rough guide to what size dish you'll need, the website is a bit coulourful.

Hi mate, was just about to post my own thread when i sat this

I am in Cardiff (east) and am using a vu solo2 with a 1m dish and inverto black ultra lnb

As of 6pm i was picking up all the JSC HD sports channels, but only at 44% signal

The picture is more than watchable but i am concerned that earlier in the day the signal will drop further

I am looking to gain another 10% some how but will make a seperate post

12265 H 27500, 68% Signal and 58% Quality
12476 V 27500 65% Signal and 52% Quality
12284 V 27500 67% Signal and 42% Quality

Time of test: 11.20pm

I find signal improves in the evenings

thanks guys, so from cardiff to the south, we are looking at least 1M++ dish and 1.2M seems to be the norm.

Just wondering how a 1.2M dish will look like on a wall?

But at least some signal is doable for 7W

1.2 Channel Master Dish. Inverto Black Ultra LNB

Go for a Channel Master Dish. Can't beat them in my opinion!
