62E for Italy? That gives an elevation of 16° for Turin and 20° for Rome. That seems awkwardly low to me but then I don't live in Scandinavia :)

was Intelsat 602@63east. horizontal west spot beam . irib was on the vertical east beam

In north of Scotland, 28.2E is under 20 degrees elevation...
It's pretty much 20 degrees bang on for elevation here too. Go towards the likes of Donegal, Sligo, Mayo etc. in the Republic and it falls under 20 degrees too.

Other than that, I'm tempted to get my hands on a TivuSat CAM and card, as I've Italian relations living in Sicily I could get a CF to help register it. The TivuSat package seem to have quite a few channels that carry either English or VO soundtracks.

Dont get your hopes up - theres not much English on the Tivusat channels.

i sorry to say mediasat transmited 18.5w
not 62e
i want 3 meter i member analog receiver with alot of speck on pictuer
every night transmition 30 minute canale 5 program

I remember them very well from the analogue time. First they were on Intelsat 18,5 W and then they moved to Intelsat 602 at 63 E. I had a 1,8 meter antenna to get them. The signal was very low on Canale 5 some days. Rete 4 was always the strongest. They were all transmitted in half transponder mode with Italia 1 and Canale 5 sharing one TP and Rete 4 sharing with a feed which wasn't always acitvated. When the feed was lit up the signal on Rete 4 was lower but not as low as Canale 5 which was quite "fishy" at times. RAI channels were at 10 E at the time but moved to 13 E as did the Mediaset channels. :)

If you can't get a Tivù Sat card, Rete 4, Canale 5 and Italia 1 are all available (in HD as well) via the FTA multistream feeds on 5°W with a suitable DVB-S2 PC card (along with all the Rai channels).

This is how I get them on my setup, and I don't actually use 13°E for much now at all (other than a few of the more interesting international channels), especially since moving back from BIS to TNTSat for French TV.
