Might be looking at putting my 1.8 CM on a polar mount so would have my Jumbo H-H for sale, basically a 1224 in a different beefed up case. Would that be of interest to you Martin?

Once its pulled into shape it might be a handy C Band or Ka Band dish?

I am unsure atm, the wife loves most sport including cricket, I do know there is a biss C band channel somewhere on the arc whether this dish could pull the signal I will have to read up as to what position and channel is, if it will I will use C band on this dish, if not it will be C band on the 1.8/maybe C band and ku on both, I don't know what to do spoilt for choice.

There are regular cricket feeds in BISS from 68.5E in 8PSK modulation, however, they are out of scope for a Precision 1.5m dish in the UK, it is just not big enough.
To capture the 68.5E C Band feeds in 8PSK modulation at a UK location you need a much larger dish.

There may be cricket feeds in C Band on other satellites visible to the UK?

Thanks Dave it was PTV Sports paksat 1R I read about, I can reach 68.5 with the 1.8 worth a try for nothing I guess,

Hmmm, interesting, the PTV signals on some of 38.0E are feeds.
There are some reports of C band reception for 38.0E from UK locations in the C band section, looks to be an interesting one for the fringe men?

Hi - martin
I think the chances of getting PTV channels at 38 east are slim -- although its always worth a try with C band at 38 e as its an odd satellite ...... i,v never seen them with the c.m. 1.8 dish though

But with the 10 ft Prodelin i can lock 4054 V 7000 at 6.db (not much margin there :( )
and 4003 V 15550 is unlocked at up to 2.0 db at best .....

Nice Precision dish you have there...... it should give some good results i think :) ...

I have its little sister here. 1.jpg 2.jpg not currently in use. but did use for a couple of years ... a nice little dish.

Martin,

If you are interested in the actuator I offered as a trade I have pasted the link below to my for sale topic on the forum?

For Sale - 8" Optical Actuators (Brand New & High Quality)

Rgds

It looks like I am fixed up with actuators now Dave, and taking a close look at the mount it would be fine on a 2.4 at low level in a sheltered area and it also would be a shame to split it, so I will be putting it in storage for the big day,

A few more pictures of the actuators.
