Did you see box finding that transponder in blind scan? I can see the fox news transponder found at 45E, but it can't find the channel. I remember also seeing 16APSK data tranponders found in blind scan listed in flysat.

Sadly I wasn't paying attention during the blindscan of 24.5W ...but next time I will ..
but ..even if there was no lock ..
I would have thought manually entering the parameters into the SX6 whilst a 14db 16PSK channel was present would at least have shown that 'something' was present even if it couldn't be locked ?
That's why I'd like someone with an SX6 to try the same ..

Should be enough to register on the SX6 ..though not neccessarily lock it ...as it is a continuous stream ..
but Not even a hint that a signal was present ...

Surely there should at least be a sig level reading even if not quality or lock..
Getting frustrated now ..and feeling like I've wasted my money..


The only Vertical transponder found duting a full blinscan was 12558V (Prima)

You can not lock at 8 dB. For 3/4 32APSK theoretical error free picture is 13 or 15 dB SNR (multi or single carrier).
Does the BER work, it's zero in crazyscan. Or is it so low that it can't figure out BER. Crazyscan probably uses some kind of estimation method to get the 8 dB SNR.

The dish cannot move mate ..
once I had it in position on 45E I cut the power to avoid this possibility..

In truth huve I wasn't really expecting a solid lock at all ...just some indication that a signal was present on the SX6 ...but it appears deaf to it ..
As to the TBS card tried it again and is still locked showing no BER all zeros ...so says the tuner otherwise it would say No-locked...but no data possible(currently claiming lock at 16PSK)

Ok ...so I went back to the first post in the thread ...the video showing reception of the 12718H multiplex ...
Which again the TBS card can lock and can resolve ....
but the SX6 doesn't even register ANYTHING in a blind scan ..
Are we sure this isn't a con job to sell more of the Ffffing boxes ?
Or again ..
perhaps a firmware upgrade is needed ?
The video clearly shows it working but damned if I can repeat this trick ...

This is a first thing to do before scan anything. Multistream and 16apsk features were added in latest firmware versions only, not by default.

I would no its not blind, satcards see things a stb will never see, find another tp that's 8db with the sat card and test again one that not 16/32psk and there's a good chance you will get the same result on that box and any other you want to try.

This is dragging on a good bit ...
Do I assume that the multistream fix is not an official firmware upgrade ?
I have connected the SX6 to my lan ...and inserted a blank usb drive ...then selected software download ...
A list of firmwares were grabbed from the net and displayed ..
selected the most recent and went through the motions ..
the box completed the upgrade but still does not find the multistream transponder either by blindscan or manually ..
So ..now I'm wondering if somehow I have to point at another URL to get this ?
If so ...how ??
any help would be most welcome ..as I'm close to pitching this box through an open window..

Ok, lets go with 12.5W since there are two multistreams work with SX6, do you get other channels from that sat? like 12595H1875 5/6? Are you sure your dish is in correct position while scanning?

After much searching on the net I can find sod all on this subject other than demos of multistream working ..
I've got the latest software in it v3.02.06 and it point blank refuses to even acknowledge the existance of the 14db multistream signal on 12.5W ...
So thats it I guess ...
it will make a wonderfull paperweight ...or pehaps handy to prop open doors...
a £130 joke ...and really not that funny ..
It looks for all the world like they have changed something about the build ..and have either used a different tuner that doesn't support multistream or 16psk ...
or quite simply ..it's faulty..
I have no idea what to try next ...and am well p1ssed off with it already.
I guess the jokes on me..

I have already posted a scan of the multistream signal as seen by the TBS card ..
The signal is over 13 db and more than adequate ..but the SX6 cant see anything ??

The SX6 is currently showing KTO at 97%
