why didn't use only one latitude adjustment rod like Channel Master did for their mounts

Hi samoloko funny you should say that I was wondering why CM did not use two like me who's right ? who's wrong ?.

with one pcs you can get easy user friendly and symetrical adjustment

My thinking is when there's a big dish on this mount it will pull it more accurately pulling from two points rather than one;), you can get a little twist pulling from one bolt ;), one bolt is fine for this small dish but your better with two with larger dishes, using two is only a plus not a negative :)

Hi. i popped out and had an hour on the actuator, its going to be a bit of trial and error for the positioning of it but ive started at this point, ive only tack welded the bits on, I cant see me getting it right the first time. i will put some power to it tomorrow and test it :)

A Precision prime focus dish is a mans satellite dish, them offset focus dishes are for pussy whipped gimps. Forget the bollox about the feed and support arms blocking out the signal, just get a bigger prime focus. Its a no contest, the offset focus dish did not even get to the starting line.

The day I have to consider erecting an offset focus dish for my own use will be the day I give up with satellite.
Lol Dave that's one way of putting it:D, yes you gimps get a mans dish :p:D:-lol
Well...
Talking of a man's dish.
Check the Prodelin 1241 in this picture (from gdsatcom.com)... quite a feed-support arm, isn't it? :D
I think 0.8 f/D offsets look very purposeful too, more than 0.6 f/D ones... and, some might say, perhaps even more man'ish than the PF's?

(...If only I had a Prodelin 1241... hey, wait - I do in fact have one! I just need somewhere I can, erhm, erect the dish...)
:)

Much obliged
Meanwhile, I might go play with the H2H mounted CM240 at work - I've been told I can pretty much play with as I like as we don't really use it that much these days...
But of course - it's for pussy whipped gimps, so maybe I should stick to my Toroidal T55 pointing at everything at the same time... :D

At the risk of repeating myself ...again..
All PFs are female whereas Offsets are male dishes ....so no wonder we tend to get all loved up about PFs is it ?
'Prime' example ...err pardon the pun ..
Who amongst us chaps dont get a er*****n ....standing next to the Lovell ... ?
(I call her Stella)
Or is that just me ...
lol...
My wife left me years ago ...
I often wonder why...
:D

I choose not to worry tho' ...some men love their cars or boats ...so
does this make me a freak...
??

Good stuff this Guinness...

It's looking really good  do you do custom orders? For the mounts?

Thanks Chris :),

I am seriously thinking about making mounts as a second income and see how it goes, I have plans in mind for a 12/12 workshop at the top of the garden and going to kit it out with all the proper gear,

First part of this project is already bought the window in this picture, this is where the workshop will be, I need to ebay a few more windows :), so yes pal in the future :).

Can you take a video of the movement? Just to see how the PM and the jack operate.

I can do Alex the actuator more/less stays where it is, unlike on the 1.2 it sticks up/down at ends of the arc, wait while I get it setup and I will post a vid up.
