So ..has all my work been for nothing ?
I left Airspy running overnight ...and this morning observed a large spike that isn't frequency related ...
I can't move it by centering on SDR# ...but really takes no account of RF input ..ie frequency...
Disconnected everything from the input ...and the spike is still there ...although it does move a little depending on what 'section' of spectrum I'm looking at..
reminds of the DC spike observed in the early days of SDR dongles and is a right royal pain ..
Anyone else with AirSpy seeing this ?
I thought they had eliminated this problem ...but then perhaps my AirSpy has gone faulty overnight ..
Something has changed ..and at over £200 I would have expected more reliability..
Anyone ??
Oh ..btw I tried the Airspy on an FM broadcast ..and it still works fine ...just this bloody spike is present all the time ..spike.webp

If we disregard the thought that "the man" is homing in on you then, if it's faulty, contact with the manufacturer/distributor seems the next step to me.

There is a reset button inside the case ..as shown on the layout linked by S-B earlier ..
has anyone ever pressed this ?
what does it do I wonder ..?

I get something similar to you. There are spikes every 20MHz and, in some places more crud - It's the nature of the beast. If you have enough gain ahead of it you can minimise the irritation. If you check the swap IQ box you can move the spurs.

I got it for the 10MHz reference input and it's usability with SDR#

...and that is every 20 mhz with nothing connected to the ant in ?
...I'm sure they werent there previously on mine ...so maybe it is just component ageing with the heat generated..
damned frustrating that much is true..
cheers SB

Nothing connected, terminated 50R, You may not have noticed them if you were running from an LNB as the noise will submerge them and they are Airspy-gain related in level.
