Can you please tell me what position I need to point the sat at, to get the french channels. Is it Hotbird, Astra 19.2 or Astra 28?
Also can you please tell me how I unscramble these channels, as I am sure these have always been scrambled.
Could I buy a french receiver, would this solve the issue?
I have decided just to run Hotbird and Astra 19 through the switch and receiver.
The 28 LNB I am going to connect this seperately to a freesat box.
Is this possible? Reason being I can then get E4
Either way I am so happy with the setup. With my limited knowledge I never thought I would get...
Ok I think an update is in order.
I looked at the bracket yesterday that holds the dish. The little notch out that showed you how many degress the dish is at, was actually on the opposite side, so I turned the bracket round.
I then tuned 13,19 and 28 individually to begin with. I then turned...
I won't be giving on getting this sorted. I am going to realign 19 as best as I can this afternoon, then position 13 again followed by the 28. It's a big learning curve, but in order to learn you need to make mistakes. Once I have these set, then I will try each one directly to the receiver...
Ok I managed to line up 13 and 19, in fact this was a breeze. I checked both LNB's where working individually by using the standard cable from reciever to LNB, and both 13 and 19 work.
The issue I am having seems to be with the DiSEqC switch. Everything is plugged correctly from the LNB to the...
When I set up the first LNB which is the 19, do I need to tilt the dish to 19.2 degrees?
Like I say I am still new to all this. Looking at the dish now, it is tilted at about 13 dagress which is correct for Hotbird.
Once the 19 is in place, and the other two LNB's are spaced according to the...
So tilt the bracket first and then align 19.2 to begin with.
Now as long as the 13 and 28 LNB are correctly spaced from the centre to the LNB bracket in mm, per the diagram, I should be able to pick up the other sats?
Before I do the above, do I need to set the angle of the dish to 19 degrees?
