Yes you need to have a Sly billing to recieve the recording.

If he'd been sent by 'Sly' to install then he was obliged to fit a Quad Lnb and run a second cable, in fact rmove the single cable and run a 'Double' down, I would be inclined to call sky and complain that it was not installed correctly.

No you only need one LNB (Quad) but with two cables coming from it to your Sky+ box, and you will need to give Sky a ring and get the box 'Paired' with your 'Card'

Yep I guess it was the LNB that he changed, they've done it twice for me. Good luck and good viewing.

You do realise there are two different types of 'magic-eye', one for normal TV and then one for Satalite, you couldn't have got the wrong type by mistake could you ?

The next thing to do if you can, is to swap the cables at the dish end and check the signals as before, that way you could possibly narrow it down to whether it's a faulty line or LNB.
