    New Foxsat??/ new chip technology

The current Foxsat HDR is getting on a bit now. No 3D or 1080p support. Does anyone know if an updated version is being planned, please? I have also read something about new chip technology for satellite receivers - anyone know the name please? I did but have lost my note. Thanks

    Freeview and freesat recorders (PVR)

Thanks Guys - I did not think there would be. Panasonic TV's can receive both, but their Recorders only do one or the other. Just wanted to see if I could get rid of the VCR if I purchased a PVR. Clearly not. "Yesterday" is another Freeview only channel. I'm not paying Sky just to get it...

    Freeview and freesat recorders (PVR)

Does anyone know of a PVR which can record from BOTH Freeview and Freesat, please?

    Freesat Channel list disappearing

Like the "hear after" quote. Big problem comes when you get to the "whom am I" stage. Thanks for comment. Makes sense.

    Freesat Channel list disappearing

Thanks. I'll try that next time it occurs. I have decided I can live with it, as I can see TV using the other Tuning menu. The Satellite dishi manual says rain can have an effect, although I don't see why just one menu disappears, but that's life. Panasonic say there is no known issue...

    Freesat Channel list disappearing

I have a Panasonic LCD TV with a built in Satellite receiver. After heavy rain, the Freesat channel list disappears and I have to re-tune. The TV also has a separate Satellite tuning menu which can pick up anything broadcast from Astra 2/Eurobird. That also works fine. I've asked the...

    Humax Freesat HDR PVR Question

Thanks for the two comments. Currently my Sat Antenna has a twin LNB and I have two cables. One feeding Freesat TV directly and the other to separate Sat. Receiver, so I can record (via VCR) one channel whilst watching another. So looks like I need a Quad LNB and a third cable into the room...

    Humax Freesat HDR PVR Question

I'm looking at buying a Humax PVR. According to information this has an LNB 1 OUT connection which apparently allows connection to another Digital Satellitte receiver. However the manual says nothing more on the subject. Does anyone know if this means I could connect to a TV with it's own...

Twin LNB - one only seems to work

Thanks for the suggestion. I did recut the cable end to expose more core. However I had been testing this twin LNB problem by switching cables between same receiver. I now have tried connecting to a second receiver and that actually worked. So I now have both LNB's producing good signal. I...

Twin LNB - one only seems to work

I have a twin LNB on my satelitte antenna. One produces a good strength and quality, the other only registers Signal strength. I've checked the cables by swapping the leads around on the LNB and the results are consistent, i.e. only the second LNB outlet gets a picture. I suspect a faulty...

Satellite signal disappears when Sat Finder meter removed!

This is just a follow up on my original query, in case anyone else gets one of these SELFSAT 2400 receivers which are fairly cheap on eBay at the moment. One of my occuring problems was putting Receiver on standby, then switching it on again only to find no signal registering. It appears to be...

Satellite signal disappears when Sat Finder meter removed!

Thanks for all the suggestions. It seems to have been dodgy cable. So Rolfw was right - connection problem. I put a new cable in from antenna to receiver and things came back to life.

Satellite signal disappears when Sat Finder meter removed!

Thanks for response Rofw. Sorry just got back to trying your suggestion. I have fitted new connector to Sat Antenna. Still zero or low signal depending on Astra2 frequency settings. BUT as soon as I plug the Sat finder meter in I get 96% signal strength. I have inserted sat-finder next to...

Satellite signal disappears when Sat Finder meter removed!

I have recently tried to install a selfsat H21D antenna with a selfsat 2400 receiver. Once i'd lined eveything up on antenna, I attached an SLX Satellite finder meter between antenna and receiver and quickly achieved a high reading. I then went to receiver and tuned in channels from ASTRA2...
