Yes, there is a BBC HD transmission still on Astra 1N (10847 V), that's what you'll be getting.

Thanks for confirming that. It's the impression I got after reading up on it. If Andalucia loses out on most of the BBC & ITV services, I'll be tempted to set this up at home as an untrustworthy temporary source. It's a shame that a sky sub will only provide ITV2,3 and 4.

I've not come across a standard legal definition of how to measure your dish, but 1.39 * 1.23 elliptical is clearly a larger surface area than that of a circular 1.2m dish. A conservative estimate would be 1.3m and a salesman's estimate would be 1.35m ;)

If Astra 2f replacing 1N causes the loss of BBC & ITV in parts of Europe, interest in Biss will increase. I've read there are some enthusiasts getting the main BBC channels & ITV1 HD from Intelsat 907. Needs the right tuner SR:44100
