Thank you for your replies! The fault appears quite randomly and unpredictably. Both image and sound tend to get lost. It is indeed a SCART lead that connects the devices and I shall try the proposed solution. Should this not work, I will post again. In the meantime, I am very grateful!

I am a subscriber with Nova.gr and started recently having problems with my Panasat IRD 720i decoder; it seems to stop working after being on for some time, so that the picture on the television is lost and replaced by a uniform grey. If I, then, turn it off and on gain it starts working ok...
