Subs vary from £300-£600 depending on supplier.
Don't think you need a dedicated stb.
A 1.8m dish should be ok in the south east, try ebay for a Channel Master and get a LNB/Feedhorn setup.
Hi m8, can only get the Vertical TP's which I get 85% signal, but I am just not getting enough for the Horizontal TP's, on Showtime Sports it cannot display the image, if it does it locks up straight away. Also on these my BER rate is through the roof.
Saying all this, I installed it myself...
Will let you know by the end of the week, as I am getting a 1.8m CM installed. I am prepared for this not being enough to get all the H channels, but should get most of them. A 2.4m is a no go for me.
Reading about this for the last month or so, it seems there are certain hotspots around the...
How would Showtime stop the Diablo cam from working, would they have to change the cards/encryption? I am just trying to get an idea of how long it might work if I get one.
Just seen Showtime have updated their games for the opening week of the season, looks like they are going to be like ART but better. I also presume the picture quality on Showtime is better than it was on ART?
Now where did I put that 2.4m dish
Yeah I have seen that, looks a bit of a mess, plus I would have to get a new LNB for it anyway. Also cost to collect would be best part of £60, so think I would rather have new. The one from Maplins is only £179.99.
Well after chatting with someone in Manchester they are pulling the H channels with a 2.4m dish, so I guess with Doncaster being further east I should be ok, well here's hoping.
Planning permission, what is that :-rofl2
Digialb will not satisfy my needs, as I also had that last season and...
You may find that digitalb is not doing what you want, then later down the line wish to move to a different provider who does not trasmit on 16E, then you have to mess around paying out for another installation to install the motor and re-setup the dish.
All I am saying you will find it cheaper...
Yeah I know what you are saying, but quite frankly I cannot afford a 2.4m Andrews Channel Master, as they're about £2600 and cannot really justify this outlay.
Which brings me to my next question, the 1.8m version could well be within reach, but would it give me enough for what I want and would...
Thanks for all the advice and links.
I guess ultimately, what I am wanting to know is, if I will be able to get the Showtime Horizontal channels, but unfortunatley I do not think I am gonna be able to tell this until I have purchased and installed the new Dish.
Any other ideas?
Still...
Fixed would be ok, but motorised would give you more options when needed and trust me, there will be times when you will wish you had gone motorised, so I say get motorised from the start.
