    Disappearing Music Channels?

Hub is already in another room and upstairs while the receiver is downstairs. I spoke too soon as well, as I had no signal later last night and this morning still the same! Why do people waste money in broadcasting a channel which can't be seen properly?

    Disappearing Music Channels?

I've switched my wireless router off and sure enough "Brit Hits" comes through and is fine. "Chart tv" and "The Vault" are still pixilated but at least there's a signal. I see that the router offers me a choice of radio channels 1 to 13. It's curently set at 11 which is the default and what...

    Disappearing Music Channels?

No, but have got a wireless router from Tiscali recently? I will try with it switched off. Why would it interfere?

    Brit Hits 28E

You have to wonder what the point is of starting up a channel which can't be received properly? How do they expect to get viewers and income?

    Disappearing Music Channels?

Has anyone else found that "The Vault" and some other channels are now evermore pixalating or not being received at all? This applies to the "Brit Hits" channel as well> Are they all on a weaker transpnder? Have they reduced power/increased compression? Any ideas anyone? I'm in the UK and always...

    Brit Hits 28E

Seems that this will be another music channel that is only occasionally strong enough to be actually viewed. Like The Vault and others seem to be now!

Happy 10th birthday to the BBC's Red Button. Do you press it?

:-Nooo Anybody know why with Sat. when you press the red button, the BBC changes the channel to BBC news channel, which is annoying and takes ages, but with Freeview it stays on the channel you're on which is much better? It didn't always change channel on Sat. so there is presumbably a reason?

Retaining stored "Other Channels" on Sky+

I e-mailed SKY and I"m pleased to say that about 8 hours later someone from Technical Support who knew what he was takling about, rang me. As was suggested in "What Sat." Sky confirm that they use the memory used for storing "Other Channels" as somewhere to carry out software amendments. This...

Retaining stored "Other Channels" on Sky+

I'm pleased to see that the new "What Satellite and Digital TV" magazine is featuring a letter which raises the disappearing channels problem. Apparantly they reckon it could be either the Sky use the memory space for software updates or that the boxes periodicaly look for signals from 28deg and...

Retaining stored "Other Channels" on Sky+

Thanks for the info. everyone. Looks like it's just something to have to put up with is I'm going to try and just use the SKY+ box! Out of general interest though, does the same thing happen on the newer "facelift" and SKY 180 + boxes? And what about the standard Sky boxes, do they do the same?
