You are right Topper. It works. Had to upgrade my router to the latest firmware (vista approved) and now everything is OK. Thanks again for helping.

Yes have tried with firewall off without result. Cannot browse it from windows explorer nor from firefox and that is exactly my problem since i'm guetting indefinately message : waiting for 192.168.n.n ... and that's all. With windows XP I can browse it without problems.

Solved. It was the wlan issue with vista.

Have tried with nabilo image and got the same problem. I'll investigate the wlan issue since vista seems to have problems with wireless connections (have a wireless speedtouch router) . I'll come back with results.
