Hi Nigbo, thx for the reply and agree Satdudez is a good forum too. The only reason I realed out the TM 6900 was becuase it on has the one tuner. This limits what I can do and hence why I have started to look at other options.
I am current looking at the Icecrypt s4000 as you get alot for you...
Hi VS, looks like the standard 500Gb drive I can get one with should be sufficient for most of my initial needs then. Not knowing anything about Linus (I do about Windows) there was a limit on Windows systems at one stage hence the Q. It does sound like the smaller drive will resolve the points...
Hi VS, thanks for your prompt posting and really useful info. The box has some good features (multi tuner support - I don't have access to cable so only S & T tuners I can use). The fact if supports an internal HDD, means less clutter - however I can only find mention of a 500Gb drive, is that...
Rolfw- although a different model it's good to hear positive stories from users of the manufacturers other products. Thanks for helping to support my thoughts.

I am new to satellite systems and posted a question to get some ideas for a new HD system. After doing much research and reading this and other forums I believe the Cuberevo offers the best solution for the money. Can you let me know your experiences if you own one - ease of set-up, ease of use...
Just another thought - my son is made keen on football, so it will be good to be able to tune into European matches. I was speaking to a work colleague who said you can pick up European matches on Turkish satellites, which will solve my first challenge.
However, is it possible to pick up...
Hi Timo - point noted and I think I'll keep it simple to start with and then look solve the second feed when I start to get more ambious. It is possible to get a second feed but will take a little more effort...!
Cheers for the thoughts, Martin.
Hi Robbo,
Sorry I was originally researching the 6900, but then thought I could save money getting the 6800 as I don't need the terrestrial tuner as my TV already has that & have a DVD recorder for usual digial channels. The 6900 provides better functions so really meant to quote that one :-DOH2...
Caretaker - thanks for your all your comments :)
Dish - I don't really want to go for a steel one due to weight and durability.
Control - good to hear I can just use a single co-ax as I didn't want to run a new cable.
Dish setup - this doesn't worry me because I can see there are lots of people...
I am looking for my first satellite system and would really appreciate some guidance, so any advice would be much appreciated. I am looking for an HD system that has the facility to record, ideally with twin turner so can record and watch different channels. I live in Devon, and the dish will...
