I had the Pace DS810XE, didnt think much of the tuner, had it for a few months and ebayed it. this was my first HD receiver, replaced it with a fortecstar Innovation(circa 69db). it knocks the socks off the pace for weak signals. I have an Echostar DVR7000 and its better than this also.

I would try a universal remote first, if that dosent work time to flash up the soldering iron and replace the IR LED receiver. I have done this previously with a remote and worked a treat. just make sure you replace the led as per original i.e. anode and cathode orientation.

My inovation did the same just minutes ago when updating firmware I tried a 1gb stick instead of my 4gb stick and it read fine!:-thumbup
