I have to agree with snap about the multi switch being a prime suspect. You could also try removing one of the LNB's and fit a standard single universal one on a direct cable to the Receiver to test.
One thing I am sure of is that your size of dish is more than adaquate to get Astra 2 with...
Don't know if this helps but I have just replaced a Panny 30 with a 2600 which was not used for quite a while. The software level was 3.2.11 I did a forced download about 2 weeks ago and it went up to 3.3b.5 which is still two versions behind the current one which I think is 3.5.3. After several...
Hi bignick
At the moment my box is running on version 3.4.4b with no problems at all
The problem seems to occur, so I was informed if you try to upgrade to the next level which is said to be 3.5.4b. Just to check I have contacted a few people who have digiboxes both in the UK and abroad and it...
Just finished testing one here in the uk. It's not too bad compared to whats available new. But, compared to the 2600 C1, Javelin Minibox and DSN430 all made by Pace it's in a very poor 4th place
Hope this helps

I have read a couple of reports on other sites that say the Pace 2600 C1 is starting to suffer a few missing channels and lock ups after the latest software download. This I am told only applies to fringe reception not in the UK. (Sounds like the Panasonic TU-DSB-30 problem all over again.)...
Thanks for all the advice Guys.
If the low signal handling is about the same I am now tempted to go for the 2600 because of the 2 scarts and audio out sockets.
Many thanks

After the sad demise of my Panasonic TU-DSB30 (The software syndrome) I have been offered two replacements from my Dealer in the UK.
The first is the Pace 2600 and the second one is the Pace 1000 "mini-box".
Not much difference in the price but I wondered which performs best on weak signals.
I...
@wod
Done that and "Bingo" all is OK. at the moment he has my old Panasonic 30 installed and no problems at all. I agree with you that the Sony tuners are a bit weak for fringeline areas.
I take your advice about getting a bigger dish but with my M8 who has a house with a good bit of garden has...
Well,
The new "Minibox" is here. It is a good bit better than the TU-DSB30 and I can see why it is so highly thought of in extreme fringe areas like Cyprus.
Still getting a few problems late at night but I am now convinced that it is the weather.
The winter in these parts has been very harsh...
Thanks for the info guy's. LNB and cable check out OK. I have used the add channels and set up BBC NW which is a vertical transponder and is now stable all the time. I think the prime suspect has to be my faithfull old Panasonic. It seems strange but it was not affected by the software upgrade a...
I Am in Austria about 60Km East of Innsbruck in the Tyrol. My Kit is a 1.25m Dish, a Fortec Star 0.3db LNB and a good old Panasonic TU-DSB30. For the last 2 years I have been getting most services 24/7with ITV2 going a bit in bad weather.
In the last couple of months BBC1 & 2 start to go about...
In most country's of Europe they accept that peoples viewing don't conform to just one type. There are many foreign nationals living there as we have over here. OK cable in this country will get you a slimmed down S*Y package and a few other bits and pieces,But not the mainstream French,German...
Thanks for your prompt replies M8's. So I won't expect any problems on the UK one. Where I am located in Western Austria reception is quite good (24/7 in all weathers on a 1.25 Meter Dish) so I will keep my fingers crossed.
Best Wishes

From reading this forum I have noticed that some people mention about software problems on this receiver. I have one in the UK and another one in Austria. Both seem to be working well. Can anyone tell me exactly what the known problems are with them.
Better I know what to expect.
Thanks
