Help Please, Which Cam for Hispasat

Hi cjhelec, The Seca channels you can see (on Astra 1?) are actually Nagravision 3 (something to do with funneling one encryption type inside another, I think). I don't think you need a different CAM for one type compared to the others, but I may be wrong. It's a pity that the publicly available...

Help Please, Which Cam for Hispasat

A few dealers sell expensive (and slightly illegal) subs to D+. Otherwise, there's no real way of seeing these channels. The only channels really viewable on Hispasat are the FTA regional channels (TV Galica, etc) .... and these are pretty much awful rolling local news channels .....

    silvercrest sl65 help

You could have a long wait for an answer if you don't let us know what channels you're trying to watch!:) Anyway, I'm fairly sure that there isn't much on either satellite you can view without updating the keys at least twice a day, if not more. You'll also have to let us know what version of...

    Want to watch Spanish TV

Hi Guy 999, You're in the same position I was in when I started this Satellite malarkey - good luck with it! Just a couple of points for you to consider though - both Hispasat at 30W and Astra 1 at 19.2E carry D+ channels - there is no difference in what you can watch. Hispasat also carries...

Decent Spanish channels - advice sought for a beginner

Hiya interceptor, Spanish channels are available on Hispasat and Astra 1 via Digital+ - you'll need a subscription for these (a dealer would be able to help you with this, as you can't subscribe without a valid Spanish address) - it is quite pricey though. As for equipment, again, a dealer would...

    Total new boy totally lost!

Mmm - probably not. To get Ch's 4 and 5 via satellite you would need a S*y Box with a Freesat card:( - (it picks up the other BBC and ITV channels as well, but you don't need a card for those:) ) - the trouble with the S*y Box is it isn't much cop at picking up other sats - no motor control...

Help needed for a sat system

Hi xeine, sorry, not from Newcastle,:-DOH! but I know there are a couple of dealers in the area who could probably help with equipment. I don't know much about sports channels, but there is a fair bit of English language stuff up in the stars - Astra 19E, Hotbird 13E and Hispasat 30W, among...

    Hispasat spanish radio stations

I can get all of the FTA radio channels from D+ on Hispasat and Astra 1. Are the stations you're trying to get encrypted? The SL65 tends to say Audio Not Available when it really means Scrambled Channels!:)

    which technomate

I guess any of the Technomates you mentioned would fit the bill, except for the bit about watching british football - Sky more or less have the rights to the game sewn up, and there's no way to watch the games without subscribing to sky. You might come across some of the games on other...

    Technomate TM-1500CI+ firmware update?

Head for the Links Section on this very forum and you will find plenty of links to other sites offering firmwares. Just a question of picking one you like the look of, there is only one alternative firmware to the official one, I think.

How do I add a satellite manually on Technomate TM-1000 D Super?

Mind you, the manual could be written better. Since you can get to Satellite Setup, use the left /right keys to select satellite or a blank space. If it's an 'existing' satellite, then you'll see the signal/quality meters move (so long as the dish can 'see' the sat correctly). If it's a...

    Digital+ problems

I don't have experience of that techie but on the TM 1000 the machine doesn't appear on the PC as 'new hardware' - or anything else for that matter. Don't try to add it as hardware. The receiver is just a passive device on the end of a lead as far as your PC is concerned. The COM port could be...

    Replacement receiver help required

Technomate TM-1000 range should fit your needs - the FTA model (TM-1000D) is cheap, but pretty reliable, I think. It's also got a pretty straightforward setup, and is easy on the eyes. I don't know where you are in the UK but I used Satellite Superstore (stick the words together and add a www...

Upgrading to digital - box advice plz

For a bit of extra, you could add a second LNB to your dish, and feed them through a Disecq switch, which would let you pick up 28.2 and 13 or 19 on one receiver (I'm guessing you've still got one of the big dishes from S*y's analogue days). Otherwise 30 west is probably your best bet for...

    Good News?

TVE1 and La2 have finally made it onto D+'s line up (on Hispasat, anyway) - 12.302 V 27500 & 11.772 V 27500 respectively.:-sugar The bad news? - you can't see them, they're encrypted! Does anyone know if D+ do a FTV card, similar to Freesat from Sky, or the Solus cards the Beeb used to issue...
