Thanks for replying Wombatter, I know my dish could be better mounted - and unfortunately I don't think my manhattan has BER, just signal and quality levels.
Funny thing is though, I sure I've heard it on terrestrial channels as well but only on FOX shows, like the "new" simpsons episodes on...
Is it my ears or do some shows from fox like Family Guy, X-files, Futurama and the Simpsons sometimes have small audio glitches more easily heard on long constant sounds?
Sort of like someone flicking their adam's apple - its kinda hard to describe
Thanks for all your help, I've got the brackets onto the wall and the pole is "almost" straight - I think the top bracket needs to be packed out a bit as the u-bolts are at maximum reach and its still a bit out.
But I've put a 70cm dish on as a test and so far get: 1*W (reference point), 13*E...
Thanks for the instant reply rolfw, I had barely got back from making a brew!
I'm sure the brackets will be OK (I will stick to "K" at the bottom), now I have an answer I might even get it "started" today!
Thanks again,
NiCad
Hi
I just bought some 18'' t&k brackets from jwhardy, when I phoned up to pay they said delivery will be an extra £13 but I bought them anyway.
Now they have arrived they seem bigger than planned - the total length of each bracket is 24 inches, and the pole will mount about 21.5'' from the...
Hi,
I emailed raven about the oval lnb issue asked above, but they didn't reply. Nevermore will I email them - I still bought the dish, though.
I was gonna mention the website but BGonaSTICK beat me to it...
However, here is a PDF I downloaded a while back:
Hope it helps :)

Thanks rolfw for clearing that one up, I have a couple of older lnbs and thought if I buy a newer one should it be oval, but now I will probably go for an invacom.
Cheers

Thanks for your help guys - I will try again another time...
Their rules were a bit strict if I remember correctly, no laughing, no crying, sit up straight... Information was good though.
But we all know which is the best forum, don't we ;)
Thanks for the reply Marts,
But all I get is

Does anyone know what happened to toecutters?
I was a member a while ago but then it seemed to dissappear,
my old login doesn't work and you can't register?
Did they go bust?
Cheers :)
Here's some pictures of a project I'm working on :)
The dish is normally aimed roughly at 28E (depends on wind strength) for the free sky stuff, and occasionally sports an extra LNB for astra 19E!
These were taken last year and christmas day - who bet it would snow...
