Hi Flashed my dm500s with new image yesterday now the damn thing doesnt work at all. Got a message on screen that it was a clone and contact dealer! Now it's dead. Are there any articles in here about how to recover from this?? Was sure this was an original box! Damn damn damn!

Found this reply to the same problem on another web site... not sure if this might help. The hard but doable way: 1. I would download and install a free DNS server for either windows or linux. Bind would do. I would then find out what server for example Hydra (if thats what you're using)...

Thanks for that have re-flashed it and was working fine . Now the only probllem I have is the dreambox has now switched off and cannot get any power to it!!

No it was a tar.gz I believe and I did ftp straight. Not sure where I downloaded from think it was UMP. I have 464.5k free in /var used 74%
