I am almost certain its a PSU problem. I don't have a diagram or the time/inclination to fix it so I'll get rid of it on Ebay for spares. I was going to anyway, as I use the Humax all the time so in a way its a blessing as I would not have wanted to get rid of a dud! Thank you for all your help

That makes no difference. IIRC , when working, taking out of standby there was a relay click then dancing ants and a second click before the picture/ menu came up. There is no second click now. Regards

Hi I have never seen a bootloader message. It has always gone from clock to 'chasing ants' (which pleases the cat,) to the channel number. I have never uploaded anything to this box (until I tried today) The lead I am using is perfect with a Humax 5400 so should be OK ?? Using official Echostar...

I have one of theese for years and ita worked fine. last night I was tring to download new satellites and there was a power cut. Now when the set is plugged in I get a flasing --:-- like it wants the clock setting. Taking out of standby you hear a click and the LED's go 'round in circles' like...

make sure your receiver is on a FTA channel switch the receiver off completely (not on standby) insert CAM switch on & wait. use menu & follow till you get the CI menu up you have to scroll up I think to see the box key

Have you got your receiver set to french time? Perhaps if you watch a program from your country the clocks get changed??

there is a program called MKfind Version 4.?? was the last. Is works 100% on seca 1 but only reads seca 2

Yes official card works & I have just got an old Humax. It works in that machine so it must be the Echostar Thanks for your help.

I have a Humax vaci5300,, and want to connect to a PC via a season interface. so I can see the data streams. The program works & the interface works but no data with the Humax. Looks like not enough power from the 5V line. so How to connect the 5V? Has anyone else modified the receiver. If so...

did you erase it first?

That was the 1.180 file I used. I can only think that the CAM is faulty or does not work with the echostar. Unless there is something you have to do to make it read the card I don't know about.

I have tried about 6 different types of file uploaded with funcards to the CAM and none of them will work with a card. I do not believe they work with cards or someone would have replied I am going to get an offcial cam. less hassle!!
