I picked up my Satlook Lite meter which I had been charging overnight. The message on the screen said "Battery temperature sensor broken"
Meter still works. Is this, perhaps, a false positive or do I need to replace this meter or something else?

There's what looks like a seam around the middle of the power supply and I tried to pry the two sides apart without joy. I tried a knife, but that didn't look safe...

Looks like the only thing available is the AA*8 pack offered by SolidSignal.com at a price of $40.00. I will not be using this meter until Feb. of 2017, so will bite the bullet at that time and purchase a replacement for SolidSignal.com.

You are right. My Satlook Lite battery pack has 8 batteries. However, they are inline and enclosed in a plastic sheath.
