This may sound like a bit of a thick question but but is dvb-api different altogether to cccam then? I assume if you swap to dvb-api you wont be able to connect to cccam peers right?

Thank you to the both of you. Very much appreciated. Just so you know I did search, and as I said, it was under my nose, I just didnt see it, hence why I had to ask for help. I know that in certain forums the asking for almost seems to be looked down on and a barrage of "look for it yourself"...

I think I am going mad here. I remeber a few months ago boxkey convertor had been posted on this forum somewhere. I am looking and looking and cant seem to find. Its probably right under my nose. Can anyone point me in the right direction

Ok so it has been a while since the "fix". How is everyone getting on with it. I only have access to one 919 and it seems rock staedy.

So any updates on this? There seems to be loads of videos on youtube and apparently some scum payserver has it working. Anything else people have heard?

Right well I am glad we cleared that up...not. Now the law at the moment is one thing, but I got no friggin idea why it is being spoken about here as this is a technical issuethat has arisen, not a legal one. The poijnt of this thread is "sky Italia cards no longer working in dreamboxes"...

Well I sometimes like to use my card as an ice scraper - sue me!

End of the day, the problem is that the sly card doesnt currently work in any other receiver than the original. Now, wanting to use your own stb is not a crime! This is not an issue that "sharing" doesnt work it is the fact that sly have now restricted your choice of receivers to their own...
