My Channel Master 180 permanent installation for 28.2E

Do you by any chance have an az/el mount for the 1.8 for sale st1? I have a big polar mount with two 36v motors on it, but i dont need the motors, as I will just use the dish for 28.2E.

Astra 2E: Scandinavia & Baltics Reports

Well that is strange...because I live exactly on the null line...and I get a watchable signal on 2e/f/g on my channel master 1.2 from the afternoon until late evening/early morning. In fair weather. So how can that be? Regards

    Ci+ compatable boxes

The vu duo2 is ci+ compatible...not officially, but with hacked ci software. It is built in on several images, ready to go. Those who use it says it is working fine.

Looks great st1! Would you mind sharing the lenght of the pole, and the size of the bottom plate?

Advice Needed Channel Master 180 small repair questions

Ok, I understand. So with a good quality RG6, or even RG11 coax, it should not make much difference... I will sure contemplate fixing the dish to the ground instead then *going outside looking for a suitable spot*. Thanks a lot st1! I saw your CM180 project thread, looks good. Really useful...

Advice Needed Channel Master 180 small repair questions

About the mounting st1... I was planning to put the pole right on top of an existing concrete structure, to take the weight, and make a sturdy bracket to fix it onto the wall on my (wooden) house, about two metres above the bottom of the pole. I would preferably do it as you say, concrete it to...

Advice Needed Channel Master 180 small repair questions

Thanks for the advise st1. Good to hear that it's normal regarding the loosening fibres. The dish is on its way on a car trailer from Stockholm to Oslo as we speak, but will post some pictures when the mounting starts. Need to source a pretty long 4 1/2" pole, and fabricate a ground and a wall...

Thanks both for the advice. That P40 filler looks like a better option than glass fiber and polyester, seems easy to get over here also. :)

Advice Needed Channel Master 180 small repair questions

Hi! I have finally got hold of a Channel Master 180 after searching for quite some time, so pretty happy about that :) It has the lightning on the surface, so I guess that means it is actually an Andrews, right? There is however a couple of small things... - A small piece of the edge has...

Diseqc or multiswitch for fringe reception?

Oh really? So if there is a need for more than 4 feeds, you would recommend quattro/multiswitch?

Diseqc or multiswitch for fringe reception?

Yes, don't really need more than eight feeds, so switching to octo LNB's would suffice then. Just thought there was something to gain on the signal maybe. Well, this has been very helpful, thanks a lot to all who replied! :)
