Do you by any chance have an az/el mount for the 1.8 for sale st1? I have a big polar mount with two 36v motors on it, but i dont need the motors, as I will just use the dish for 28.2E.
Well that is strange...because I live exactly on the null line...and I get a watchable signal on 2e/f/g on my channel master 1.2 from the afternoon until late evening/early morning. In fair weather. So how can that be?

The vu duo2 is ci+ compatible...not officially, but with hacked ci software. It is built in on several images, ready to go. Those who use it says it is working fine.
Ok, I understand. So with a good quality RG6, or even RG11 coax, it should not make much difference...
I will sure contemplate fixing the dish to the ground instead then *going outside looking for a suitable spot*.

I was planning to put the pole right on top of an existing concrete structure, to take the weight, and make a sturdy bracket to fix it onto the wall on my (wooden) house, about two metres above the bottom of the pole.

The dish is on its way on a car trailer from Stockholm to Oslo as we speak, but will post some pictures when the mounting starts. Need to source a pretty long 4 1/2" pole, and fabricate a ground and a wall...
